Jean de Florette: In this film a hunchback inherits a farm from his deceased mother, and he attempts to farm the land. The neighbors aren't prepared to let that happen though for they want the land for themselves. They plug the spring on the land so that the hunchback will fail. Along with no water a massive drought makes disaster for Jean. By the films end Jean is dead and the Soubeyran's have the land, but someone else knows what they did... Manon de La Source: Part 2! Manon, Jean's daughter knows what the Soubeyran's did and hates them for it. This leads her toblock the spring off so that no one can have water. Despite what he did Ugolin loves Manon and wanders her for his wife, but she refuses. When he gets turned down he kills himself in despair. Later on Cesar learns that the hunchback was his son and he killed him. Cesar cannot take the guilt and shame so he confesses all his sins, leaves his estate to his granddaughter Manon, and explains everything in his will to her. Then he dies.
J'aime bien le film parce que c'est un bonne histoire.
